Questions about the fate of Julia Montes’s character in the six-year-old series surfaced as Cuneta’s Aurora was revealed alive.
Prior rumors that suggest Cuneta’s character, Aurora, on the top rating Kapamilya series, was already written off, were proven untrue by the July 18 episode. Before being revealed alive, Aurora was shot by Lolita (Rosanna Roces), which prompted netizens and viewers to speculate that the award-winning singer-actress is no longer part of the show.
Regaining consciousness from a long sleep, Aurora vowed to join her ex-flame, President Oscar Hidalgo, and Cardo Dalisay’s group, Task Force Agila, in exacting revenge against their enemies and reclaiming Hidalgo’s position.
Because of the revelation of Cuneta’s character, many netizens and viewers wondered whether or not Julia Montes’s character on the show, is alive as well. It can be remembered that the series did not completely show, what happened to Montes’s character, after getting thrown into the sea. Speculations that Mara was already been written off circulated online, as pregnancy rumors about Montes also surfaced.
Cuneta’s return to the show, however, only enforced the rumors that Martin’s real-life sweetheart, is still part of the show and will eventually return as Cuneta did. It can also be noted that so far, no official press release confirming her exit, was ever released. The show usually pays tribute to exciting stars from the show, as it did to Richard Gutierrez, Jaime Fabregas, Tommy Abuel, Jane de Leon, and Yassi Pressman, among others.
Both Cuneta and Montes entered FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano late last year. Their characters are revealed as mother and daughter last month.
Ahead of Montes’s possible return, the show is the arrival of a new character played by award-winning actor, Raymond Bagatsing. It is revealed that his character, Lucio Santanar is the show’s new villain.
