‘Lolong’ earns its highest rating on its August 25 episode

According to Nielsen Philippines, Lolong’s August 25 episode gained 18.7 combined ratings from GMA and GTV. It is higher than the 9.0 combined ratings of its rival programs from TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel and CineMo.

According to Nielsen Philippines, Lolong‘s August 25 episode gained 18.7 combined ratings from GMA and GTV. It is higher than the 9.0 combined ratings of its rival programs from TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel and CineMo.



The episode featured the serious conversation between Elsie (Shaira Diaz) and Lolong (Ruru Madrid), her childhood friend. Lolong finally admitted to Elsie that he is an Atubaw.

It also showed the emotional scene of Karina (Rochelle Pangilinan) and Martin (Paul Salas), who asked for ways to stop him from becoming an Atubaw.

Lolong is the most-watched television program in 2022 based from the data of Nielsen Philippines from January 1 to August 14.

According to Nielsen Philippines, it recorded 13 million views from its episode on August 15 to August 19.

In a tweet, Rochelle Pangilinan, one of Lolong’s cast, shared her thoughts over the show’s achievement.

Pangilinan said, “Isa siguro sa mga dahilan kung bakit successful ang Lolong ay dahil grabe ang closeness ng Lolong cast, action packed at heavy drama ito na nakakapagod pero ganito kami sa likod ng camera! Ang kulit ng bida!”



Directed by Rommel P. Penesa, Lolong stars Ruru Madrid in the title role. It premiered on July 4, this year on the Network’s Telebabad lineup replacing First Lady.
