In a Facebook post on Saturday, October 1, broadcaster Anthony Taberna denounced the cancel culture and the call for a boycott of businesses associated with die-hard supporters of the current Administration, which included his restaurant business Ka Tunying’s.
He then apologized to his employees who might be affected by the call for a boycott, including those Kakampink employees and suppliers.
He also wished that someday, people will learn to respect and understand each other.
Tunying’s Facebook post came after slamming netizens, especially Kakampinks on his YouTube Live stream on Thursday, September 29.
In his YT Live, Ka Tunying blasted netizens who called for a Shopee boycott after the online shopping platform introduced Toni Gonzaga as its new endorser.
“Wala kayong kadala-dala…
Shopee has recently drawn flak on social media after announcing Toni as its newest brand ambassador amidst issues of workforce layoff.
