On October 11, artist Rhys Miguel revealed disturbing sexual assault claims against Patrick Quiroz.
Through his Instagram account, Miguel recounted his experience working with Quiroz on a set of a series.
Miguel first recalled how Quiroz would imply sexual innuendos with the female staff on set.Â
“Nakita ko siya sa isang taping, ‘yung taping na ‘yan, sa una wala naman akong problema sa kaniya. Pero, binabastos niya ‘yung mga babae na kasama namin. ‘Yung babae may hawak ng lollipop, tapos ‘yung sinasabi ni Patrick, noong hinahawak ng girl ‘yung lollipop sabi niya, ‘Wow, buti naman kasya ‘yung malaki sa bibig mo.’ ‘Yun ‘yung sinabi niya.Â
“So siyempre, unang reaction ko, susuntukin ko ‘yun. Pero hindi ko–wala akong ginawa sa kaniya, hinayaan ko na lang siya kasi, wala ako dyan sa harap niya ng mismong mangyari ‘yung situation na ‘yan. ‘Yung mga babae, sila ‘yung nagsumbong sa akin sa situation.”
He also narrated his alleged confrontation with his former co-star when he grabbed the wrist of two of the female cast members of the series when they tried to leave.
“Next na nangyari, lahat na ng cast, lahat ng cast, sumama sila sa isang room, bonding-bonding, noong umalis na ‘yung dalawang girls, sabi ni Patrick, hinawakan ni Patrick sa wrist, dito mismo.Â
“Noong ginawa niyan tumayo ako, sabi ko, ‘Parang, you don’t want to do this right now. If you’re holding them and they’re trying to get out of the room. If I had to stand up–and I have to question you, may problem na. So if I keep going pa, hindi ko na alam ‘yung mangyayari sayo.'”
He also alleged that Quiroz left tissues filled with semen on his bedside during the locked-in taping of their series.
“Next, next ‘yung nangyari, siyempre may mga locked-in kami, may mga room mates, may mga ganon– next, tulog na ako sa room ko. Noong nagising ako sa room ko, mayroong tissues–‘Yung roommate ko si Joao. Mayroon kaming bagong tissue box, bagong-bago lang, ubos yung tissue box namin. Ubos siya.Â
“Noong natulog ako, buong tabi ko, gilid ng bed, harap ng bed, likod ng bed, lahat. Lahat ng tissues na ‘yan– all of those tissues had c*m filled with it. C*m. Si Patrick, lahat ng cum ni Patrick nasa gilid ng bed ko. Nasa tissues.Â
“Sa totoo, baka walang sasabihin si Limer, pero kung tatanungin mo siya, sasabihin pa rin niya ‘yung totoo sa kaniya, sasabihin niya ‘yung totoo sa inyo.”
Miguel then detailed the sexual assault allegations against Quiroz, noting that the artist engaged in sexual misconduct while Miguel was asleep.Â
“So after nun, nagising ako. Noong nagising ako–Patrick Quiroz ‘to–spilling the tea, afterwards ha, I woke up in the morning, noong nagising ako, as in roll na roll na ‘to, malambot ‘yung hotdog ko, jinaj*k*l niya ‘yung lambot ng hotdog ko. Kini-kiss kiss niya ako. Nagising ako, noong nagising ako, hinahabol-habol ko siya. Noong hinahabol ko siya, tinago siya sa kwarto.Â
“Oo nga, iniisip niyang nakakatuwa, hindi naman nakakatuwa. Hinahabol ko siya, sabi ng isang management sa akin. Pinaalis na nila si Patrick.”
He also disclosed that his former management didn’t do anything to address the situation.
“Bago nangyari ‘yung accident ko, hindi ko sasabihin ‘yung pangalan, para blind item ha. Isang ka-love team niya dati sa HIH, na-rape ni Patrick, babae. Walang sinabi ni Patrick, management, wala silang gumawa.Â
“Afterwards, taping, three days lang bago nangyari ‘yung accident ko, ginawa niya din sa dalawang talents namin. Ginawa niya sa dalawang talents namin, pero ‘yung desisyon ng management, ike-keep namin ‘yan diyan sa taping mismo. Iki-keep namin ‘yan diyan, kasi kaunti na lang ‘yung oras ng taping. Keep namin siya. Nangyari pa rin sa akin.”
He then talked about how his traumatic experience affected him and his family.Â
“Hindi ako okay, nangyari ito last year, hindi pa rin ako okay.Â
“There are a lot more f*cked up things I could say, but I won’t say– because I would get sued.Â
“But yeah, I didn’t even tell my–this situation to my family. For probably about six months because I know if my family knew about it, my dad would’ve stopped this series. I can’t say a lot of details. A series on Netflix that you’ll know what I’m talking about–that series on Netflix if I would’ve released this if this came out. The series would’ve been over, but I kept going, I stayed strong for the series.Â
“You know how my parents feel, can you imagine that? Can you imagine anyone here, anyone here in this live here right now, if you got sexually assaulted and your parents knew about it. What do you think they would do. Question, what do you think they would do? Because my parents wanted to meet Patrick’s parents in person, my dad wanted to beat Patrick’s Dad’s ass while I beat Patrick’s ass.”
He added that he would give more details about his harrowing experience through his YouTube Account.
“Management didn’t do sh*t, honestly. But yeah, I’m going to come out with a YouTube video with everything in detail of what happened. And everything else. And also, I’m going to /probably/ take them to court. So at least one person had the comment right. And it’s not just me and her, it’s a lot more people.”
Earlier, a blind item surfaced from a showbiz reporter who may have pointed Miguel’s allegations against Quiroz.
Miguel and Quiroz worked together in the first season of the Kapamilya series, He’s Into Her in 2021.
Aside from their previous project together, they were both under Rise Artist Studio management.
Miguel dropped out of his first movie project, Love At First Stream, with his He’s Into Her co-star Kaori Oinuma due to personal matters.
As of this writing, Quiroz, Rise Artist Studio, and ABS-CBN have yet to provide comments regarding Miguel’s claims.
