On October 16, content creator-turned-film director Darryl Yap posted on his Facebook account and expressed his intention for Philip Salvador and Joey Marquez to star in his Maid in Malacañang sequel.
Yap’s Facebook post highlighted a conversation between him and Viva affirming the name of the actors that the director wanted for the roles of Ninoy Aquino and Fabian Ver.
The post reads:
Viva: Sino ang Ninoy mo?
Darryl: A Dream to work with Philip Salvador.
VIVA: and your Fabian Ver?
Me: Siya lang.
He then added a photo of Marquez with his FB post.
Salvador is the father of Aquino’s eldest, Joshua Aquino. On the other hand, Marquez and Aquino were in a relationship in 2002.
The post did not include confirmation from Viva if the entertainment company got the actors to join the cast for the role in the upcoming sequel.
Yap confirmed that Maid in Malacañang would have two sequels: Martyr or Murderer and Mabuhay Aloha Mabuhay.
Yap had started updating about the production of Martyr or Murderer through various social media posts.
