During an interview at Astoria Plaza, Pasig City after the contract signing with GMA Network, Boy Abunda got emotional remembering his greatest mistake.
“I apologize and I apologized to people I wronged,” Boy confessed.
He further said that he had the same preparation for all of his interviews in the past whatever the position of the person he was talking to.
Boy stressed “Wala akong pagmamata. Sikat ka man, hindi ka sikat, parehong paghahanda ang ginagawa ko.”
Meanwhile, the multi-awarded host failed to hold his tears when asked how he is today.
“OK na hindi OK,” Boy sighed.
“I’m OK and… I am honored. I am deeply honored by the welcome that I have been given. I’m deeply, deeply honored.
“But I’m not OK. I’m not OK… dahil nakipag-iyakan din ako habang nagpapaalam. Pumanaw ang nanay ni Bong [Quintana], my partner, kahapon. It’s not easy. These are tough times,” Boy stated emotionally.
On the other hand, he kept silent as he was asked how he answered the bashing he received from the interviews he conducted earlier this year.
He answered, “That’s for another engagement. Pero tama ka, I will have to tell my story at one point.
“I will have to tell my story. Bugbog ako sarado. Lahat na yata ng salita, nagamit na laban sa akin,” he added.
It is related to the critiques he received on the way he interviewed the presidential candidates Leni Robredo and Bongbong Marcos Jr., during campaign season.
