Showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin revealed that Alex Gonzaga used to have her makeup done while lying down.
Following Gonzaga’s recent controversy, where she got criticized for smearing cake on a waiter during her 35th birthday, her other issues got exposed by different people she worked with.
One of them is Cristy Fermin, who revealed Gonzaga’s unprofessionalism during their time on TV5’s news program Juicy!
In Fermin’s YouTube show Showbiz Now Na! on January 21, she talked about Gonzaga’s behavior while on the set.
She said that the TV host would always arrive late, which would often cause a delay in the show. Gonzaga would even lie down while having her makeup done.
“Ang pinakamatindi po talaga bukod sa pagiging late niya ay ilang beses ko pong siyang nakikitang nagpapamake-up nang nakahiga.
“Nakaluhod ang kanyang make-up artist na si Noel.
“Kung minsan naman, meron siyang director’s chair at halos ibuyangyang na niya ang kaniyang ulo, siyempre hirap pa rin ang kaniyang make-up artist kapag hindi nakaupo nang diretso,” said Fermin.
When Fermin already had enough of Gonzaga’s behavior, she talked with their director and asked for permission before she confronted the TV host.
“Hindi na tama itong ginagawa ni Alex, lahat na tayo naaapektuhan, hindi lang a co-hosts pati ang buong produksyon. Humingi ako sa kanya ng permiso na magsalita ako.
“Ano ‘to? Morgue pa ito, nakahiga ka dyan? ‘Di ka naaawa sa make-up artist mo na nakaluhod. Hirap na hirap. Hindi na pwede ito,” she said.
Fermin then claimed that Gonzaga has no respect for people who aren’t on the same ‘level’ as her.
“Sobra na ang ginagawa niya… wala siyang respeto sa mga hindi niya kauri sa palagay niya
“Manipulative siya eh… namimili siya ng kaniyang irerespeto. Pero kapag hindi niya co-equal yung tao, napakababa ng kaniyang pagtingin,” she said.
Cristy Fermin and Alex Gonzaga worked in TV5’s Juicy! from 2010 to 2012.
In December 2022, Fermin also talked about her experience; while working with Gonzaga. She said that the TV host has a “prima donna” attitude.
