Kapuso stars and real-life celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera will star in separate Kapuso projects this year!
Dantes will star in the Kapuso series ‘Royal Blood’ under the direction of Dominic Zapata.
He will star alongside Arthur Solinap, Lianne Valentin, Dion Ignacio, Rhian Ramos, Tirso Cruz III, Megan Young, Mikael Daez, Rabiya Mateo, and Benjie Paras.
The cast had already held their story conference on March 20.
In an interview with Aubrey Carampel on ‘Chika Minute’ for 24 Oras, Dantes said that the story of the series excites him.
“Ang daming pwedeng mangyari e so doon ako hanga talaga sa creative team, sa mga taong bumuo ng kwentong ito kasi kahit kami, sa mga unang script na binabasa namin, na-iintriga talaga kami,” he said.
In his Instagram post on March 20, he shared a picture with his fellow cast members in ‘Royal Blood’.
Dantes posted, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with almost all of the cast, staff, and executives over the past 25 years! And now, I’m thrilled to collaborate with the incredible talents of Lianne and Rabiya for the first time.”
Dantes’ last Kapuso project was ‘I Can See You: AlterNate’. He currently hosts the hit game show ‘Family Feud.’
Meanwhile, Marian Rivera will star in another TV series. She will make her comeback after being a stay-at-home mother for about 3 years.
In a report by GMA News on March 21, Rivera said that her upcoming project was light and child-friendly.
“Sobrang ganda nung story niya, tapos very light lang at mapapanood ng mga anak ko so yun ang mahalaga sa akin,” she said.
Rivera also shared how she and her husband, Dingdong Dantes, would handle their children when she starts working again.
“Sabi ko din kay Dong, ‘Kapag nagkataon na na kailangan ko na mag taping, siguro kailangan natin sila i-sit-down, specially Zia, na parang explain natin bakit gusto ko mag trabaho or ano ‘tong trabaho na ito, at lahat naman ito, ginagawa namin para sa kanila,’” she said.
Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes got married in December 2014 at Cubao Cathedral in Quezon City. They had their first child in April 2015 and their second child in September 2018.
