Wowowin host Willie Revillame is in talks with TAPE Inc.’s ‘Eat Bulaga’. This is because the show’s trio Tito, Vic, and Joey will accordingly bid goodbye to the noontime show soon.
In a report by Bilyonaryo News on March 4, management is eyeing Revillame to replace EB hosts Tito, Vic, and Joey (TVJ) when they leave the show.
Rumors about TVJ’s plan to leave Eat Bulaga first started after Zamboanga Cong. Romeo Jalosjos reportedly wanted TAPE Inc. President Antonio P. Tuviera (APT) out of the noontime show.
Jalosjos is allegedly forcing Tuviera out of the noontime show by buying out his shares in TAPE Inc. Tuviera has been producing the noontime show since its inception in 1979.
Accordingly, Revillame will replace TVJ in Eat Bulaga as the Wowowin host is used to hosting noontime shows. He previously hosted GMA’s “Lunch Date,” “Magandang Tanghali Bayan” and “Wowowee.”
Revillame’s comeback to GMA Network is also anticipated as his variety show ‘Wowowin’ was suspended on ALLTV. However, the TV host is still legally bound to ALLTV due to their contract.
In February 2022, Revillame did not renew his contract with GMA Network and transferred to Villar’s ALLTV.
His transfer was met with a cold reception from viewers as his show fell down the drain in the TV ratings game.
Meanwhile, in a report by PEP on March 7, Dapitan City Mayor Bullet Jalosjos vehemently denied the rumors that he wanted TAPE Inc. President Antonio P. Tuviera (APT) out of ‘Eat Bulaga’.
Jalosjos strongly stated, “No. Not true, for the record po.”
