Former Vivamax star AJ Raval admitted that she no longer wants to accept sexy roles now that she is already a mother.
During her guest appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, AJ shared that she continues to receive project offers but has been turning them down because most of them involve sexy roles.
“Nag-decide po ako na hindi na po siya gawin, hindi na po tanggapin dahil po sexy. Siyempre may mga anak na din po ako, ilan na din sila. Ayoko na po gumawa ng ganu’n,” AJ explained.
The actress also revealed that her partner, Aljur Abrenica, supports whatever career decision she makes.
“Si Aljur po susuporta lang po ‘yan kung ano ang gusto ko. Pero as a partner, rerespetuhin ko si Aljur na magdedesisyon ako na kung ano ang hindi ko dapat gawin,” she said.
AJ also admitted during the interview that she now carries some regret over the sexy films she made in the past.
“Wala na po akong magagawa, Tito Boy, nagawa ko na pero ang maganda po du’n marami po akong natutunan. Nagawa ko na po ‘to, hindi na po siya gagawin ng mga anak ko,” she shared.
Despite her regrets, the actress said she chooses to focus on the lessons she learned from her experiences in the industry.
She also clarified that she would not stop Aljur if he accepts projects involving kissing or love scenes, saying she understands the nature of acting work.
After stepping away from sexy projects, AJ said she now hopes to explore more dramatic roles in future acting projects. The actress recently appeared in an episode of ‘Magpakailanman’ hosted by Mel Tiangco, where she was able to showcase a different side of her acting abilities.
