And the collaboration continues.
Former archrivals ABS-CBN and GMA Network seemed to be off to another collaboration, this time through ABS-CBN’s OTT platform, iWantTFC.
According to the Twitter account, @kpmlykngdm Kapuso shows like Maria Clara at Ibarra and Lolong and the upcoming ABS-CBN and GMA collaboration project Unbreak My Heart may soon be available also on iWantTFC.
In a tweet on April 13, the account also shared that an IT expert had already looked into the JSON of the iWantTFC website and found out that the unnamed content sample from GMA Network got already uploaded on the platform.
“Ilan sa mga Kapuso shows na napabalitang mapapanood sa iWantTFC ay ang Maria Clara at Ibarra, Lolong, at ang Unbreak My Heart (na bunga rin ng Kapuso at Kapamilya partnership).
“Sa pagsusuri ng isang IT expert sa JSON ng iWantTFC website, lumalabas na naka-upload na rito ang isang sample content mula sa GMA, kung saan mayroon itong genre na drama, mystery, at romance. Mayroon din itong tatlong main cast at naipalabas noong 2022. Ang Kapuso show na ito ay mapapanood hanggang sa 1080p resolution.”

GMA Network and ABS-CBN management, however, have yet to make any official statements or announcements regarding the issue.
If it happens, this will be the third collaborative project between the two media giants.
In April 2022, ABS-CBN and GMA Network inked an agreement for the airing of Star Cinema movies on the Kapuso network’s free TV channel.
In January 2023, the two media companies signed another collaboration agreement to produce and air the upcoming Jodi Sta. Maria, Joshua Garcia, Richard Yap, and Gabbi Garcia-starrer romantic comedy teleserye Unbreak My Heart.
