Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil has finally set the record straight regarding his rumored breakup with longtime girlfriend Liza Soberano.
In an interview with MJ Felipe during his contract signing with ABS-CBN, which was aired on TV Patrol on April 25, Gil denied the breakup rumors, saying they are still going strong despite their busy individual careers.
The actor revealed, “We’re good, we’re good. She’s just really busy with her stuff there. I am going to be visiting her maybe when my schedule clears up. I think she’s coming back here. But yeah, we’re good.”
Gil also reiterated her love for Soberano and his ultimate support for her girlfriend’s career path. He said, “Because Hope [Soberano] is in the U.S., she is doing her own thing which I am going to support no matter what. I love her to death. I just really support her no matter what. I know it’s hard to go on a new path but I support her nonetheless. And who knows? You might be seeing her coming back in the near future.”
He also added that despite their long-distance relationship, since Liza is more often abroad, they still keep in touch.
“It’s hard [being in a long-distance relationship]. We don’t talk like we used to due to different time zones. But we still keep in touch and she’s good there. She has a team with her there which is really good,” he said.
LizQuen started their relationship in 2014 but confirmed it publicly in 2019.
Since the start of their career together as a love team, the two have starred in several top-rated teleseryes like ‘Forevermore’, ‘Dolce Amore’, ‘Bagani’, and ‘Make It With You’.
They also starred in well-loved movies like ‘She’s The One’, ‘Just The Way You Are’, ‘Everyday I Love You’, ‘My Ex and Whys’, and ‘Alone/Together’.
