Former ‘Hashtags’ member Ryle Santiago talked about taking on mature roles now that he is with Viva Artists Agency.
As he told LionhearTV during the media conference for signing his contract with Viva Artists Agency last March 31, Santiago is open to taking on mature roles if they serve the story.
Santiago said, “Definitely, we’re prepared for more mature roles, nandito naman po ang parents ko to sign me off from that. But [as long as] it makes sense, and [it] serves the story, may puso po yung kwento, why not? Wag lang po masyadong– yes.”
He clarified that he doesn’t want his role to make him seem like an adult entertainment actor.
He shared, “Body double pwede? Siguro it depends on how great the story would be, whatever’s required of the character siguro, di ko pa masasabi exactly ngayon, basta po hindi po magiging porn star okay lang. I think ‘yun lang naman po talaga, baka ma-MTRCB po tayo.”
However, he noted that taking on a mature role depended on what Viva pitched to him.
Santiago furthered, “As mature as I can siguro, I will be find out naman po kapag nagpitch na ng story, kapag nagsabi kung anong ipapakita po. Kung sana po hindi masyado. As I said po, if it serves the story, kung maganda po ‘yung kwento, then maybe it’s justified kung ano mang maturity ang kailangan ilabas ko.”
Santiago was a former member of the boy group ‘Hashtags’, which included Nikko Natividad and Wilbert Ross.
He worked on productions such as #ParangNormal Activity, Bakwit Boys, The General’s Daughter, and Tubig at Langis. He also sang his song ‘Iniismol’.
Accompanied by his parents, Sherilyn Reyes and Christ Tan, and his siblings, Lorenz and Anya, Santiago signed his contract with the Viva Artists Agency as their newest artist.
