On April 25, actor-director Ricky Davao recounted the three-year process of making ‘Seed of Love.’
At the media event for GMA New Media and BPI PSA campaign, which LionhearTV covered, Davao felt thankful that they completed the series production despite the pandemic delays.
Davao shared, “Yes it’s worth the wait, three years in the making…I’m thankful na natuloy ‘to kasi twice siyang hindi natuloy, una noong nagpandemic mismo, noong nag-start, tapos in the middle of the pandemic, binalik ulit, kaso hindi pa rin pumwede dahil sa mga bata, tsaka sobrang higpit talaga, tapos bumalik ulit noong 2022, last year. Nag start kami mahigpit na mahigpit pa rin, so ang puhunan talaga nito ay pwede mong masasabing ano, buwis buhay.”
He then recounted the struggles in completing the series amid health restrictions.
He added, “Talagang mahirap siya, ‘yung proseso pa lang ng papunta sa taping, pag-ayos lahat ng pagdating sa taping, tapos marami kang, maraming mga bawal, maraming dapat sundin, gawin ganon, and then nabago pa ‘yung pinaka–kwento namin na nabago ng kaunti, pero mas gumanda, mas pinaganda ng creative team namin at noong nabasa nga namin, actually nataranta ako. Pero wow, gumanda lalo.”
As for their series, ‘Seed of Love’ stars Glaiza de Castro, Mike Tan, Valerie Concepcion, Allan Paule, Bernadette Allyson, Tina Paner, Ashley Rivera, Alyana Asistio, and Boy 2 Quizon.
Davao’s Seed of Love premieres May 8 on GMA Network’s Afternoon Prime.
