Alden Richards’ dad, Richard Faulkerson, responded to a netizen’s query in a humorous and somewhat sarcastic manner.
The netizen asked Alden’s dad if he relies on Alden for his daily sustenance, saying, “‘Di po ba kayo nagtatrabaho, si Alden lang.”
Richard promptly answered the question, seemingly in a way that the netizen expected. Tagging the netizen’s username, Richard stated that he enjoys a good life, just lazing around and relying on his son to support him.
“Masarap po ang buhay ko… naka istambay lang po ako… umaasa lang po… Palamunin ng anak,” he replied.
His response was met with approval from many other netizens who understood the sarcasm in his answer.

In a recent interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Alden admitted that he used to imagine the lives of his wealthy classmates. When asked if he ever imagined reaching his current status, Alden replied, “Inimagine ko po na, of course, siyempre, nung nagkakaisip na po ako being sa school, siyempre meron tayong mga classmates na well-off,”
He continued, “Iniimagine ko po yung buhay nila, yung gigising ka, yung breakfast mo meron kang bacon, eggs and sinangag, tapos ang baon mo is two hundred pesos a day, tapos hatid-sundo ka ng service.”
