Praise continues to pour in for Julie Anne San Jose, this time from an international music icon. Award-winning singer-songwriter Josh Groban has publicly expressed his desire to collaborate with the Kapuso star, whom he described as an “incredible singer.”
In an exclusive interview with GMA Network’s GMANetwork.com, Groban shared his admiration for Filipino artists and singled out Julie Anne as someone he hopes to work with in the future.
“[I hope to collaborate with] Julie Anne San Jose, who’s an incredible singer and would love to meet her and sing with her at some point,” Groban said.
The international artist also spoke highly of the Philippines’ music scene, noting the vocal prowess he has consistently encountered among Filipino performers.
“You have such incredible artists as well in the Philippines that are so inspiring, some incredible singers in the Philippines. I have actually not ever met somebody from the Philippines who didn’t, at least a little bit, have an amazing voice,” he added.
Groban is no stranger to working with Filipino talent. In the past, he has collaborated with Christian Bautista and Lea Salonga, two of the country’s most respected vocalists.
Following Groban’s remarks, fans of Julie Anne took to social media to express their excitement and agreement. One fan commented, “I couldn’t agree more—Julie Anne San Jose is an incredibly talented singer. I love her so much!”
With Groban set to return to the Philippines for his GEMS World Tour at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on February 18, fans are now speculating whether a collaboration between the two artists could finally happen—either on stage or in a future project.
