On July 3, Viva Communications Inc. President and CEO Vincent del Rosario highlighted their plans for their newest artist Atasha Muhlach.
During the media event for Muhlach’s contract signing with Viva Artist Agency at the Viva Cafe in Cubao, Quezon City, del Rosario hinted at their plans to make Muhlach a multimedia star.
“‘Yung dream for Atasha is to be a multimedia artist, so we did a recording, sa movies, even on stage, gusto niya mag-teatro, sa digital, even for fashion, endorsements, so kumpleto. At siyempre may building blocks, ayaw namin siyang madaliin, so we work at her pace. So, in short, we would provide the best in the business for her.”
He also narrated how Muhlach became a part of the Viva Artist Agency.
“I think even before, siyempre, nasa main light na ‘yung magkapatid no, sa showbiz. Whether doon sa amin sa Viva and we mentioned other entertainment outlets na minamataan na sila when they we’re younger.
“Siguro ang advantage lang we have a very close relationships with the Muhlachs no, si Tito Cheng of course, si Lola ni Atasha. ‘Yung magti-tito.”
He pointed out that they did not have to resort to any form of ‘hard selling’ with Muhlach and her parents when discussing her career.
“So unti-unti, walang hard sell, nagkwentuhan kami ng Daddy ni Atasha, ni Aga. Pero wala, walang pilitan. Eventually, she came back from her studies, may break siya, so sabi niya, ‘Oh, usap tayo, with my daughter.’
“Edi siyempre parang kinikilig ‘yung buong Viva dahil doon sa opportunity, pero never naming kinulit, dahil alam ko, si Aga ‘yung daddy niya, pati ‘yung mommy niya, priority ‘yung studies ng magkapatid.”
He then echoed Viva Head Vic del Rosario’s statement, declaring Muhlach their next big star.
“So noong nangyari ‘yun we went to their place, at dinner, very casual, and then ‘yun na, nag-one on one sila ni Dad, ni Boss Vic at ni Atasha, pumasok sila sa isang kwarto, nag-audition, pinakinggan ni Boss si Atasha, noong lumabas, parang in a way, dineclare ni Boss Vic na we have our next big star with Atasha. So it took a while but it was worth the wait.”
Muhlach is the twin daughter of veteran actor Aga Muhlach and beauty queen Charlene Gonzales. Her twin brother is Andres.
Muhlach focused on her studies and finished business school in Nottingham, United Kingdom, as part of her parents’ wishes before she entered showbiz.
She has formally signed with the Viva Artist Agency to begin her career in the Philippines Entertainment industry.
