ABS-CBN’s popular noontime show “It’s Showtime” continues to grow its online presence as it amassed more than 23 million combined followers and subscribers on social media while its online program, “Showtime Online U,” celebrates its 7th-year milestone this August.
Day in and day out, viewers look forward to the funny banters and exchanges of “It’s Showtime” hosts and contestants from its well-loved segments “Rampanalo,” “Isip Bata,” “Mini Ms. U,” and “Tawag ng Tanghalan,” which caused its hashtags and clips to trend daily.
Meanwhile, “Showtime Online U” ” introduced its new hosts, online sensation AC Soriano and Kalokalike Face 2 Level Up grand champion Nicki Morena, during its 7th-anniversary celebration last August 19 (Saturday), signaling brighter and livelier days for the madlang onliners.
“14 years na akong solid Showtimer. Maraming salamat sa pagwe-welcome niyo sa akin dito. Wala ng bawian,” AC said.
For Nicki, “Sobrang laki ng utang na loob ko sa Showtime kasi nakagraduate ako dahil sa kanila. Sobrang blessing itong ‘Showtime Online U’ para sa akin.”
AC and Nicki will be joining “Showtime Online U” hosts Ana Ramsey, Wize Estabillo, Sam Coloso, JM Dela Cerna, Marielle Montellano, Dan Delgado, Lorraine Galvez, Anne Tenorio, and Anthony Castillo, who reminisced about their journeys from being participants of “It’s Showtime” contests like “Tawag ng Tanghalan,” “Bidaman,” and “Showtime Sexy Babe” to becoming mainstays of the online program.
Since 2016, “Showtime Online U” has brought the same level of fun and entertainment to the madlang people during noontime. The online show continuously sheds light on the stories and talents of the contestants of the various segments of “It’s Showtime.”
