Numerous celebrities and social media personalities passionately responded to Juan Ponce Enrile’s recent remarks, in which he criticized Kapamilya host-comedian Vice Ganda.
In his recent statement concerning the MTRCB-It’s Showtime issue, Enrile was quoted as referring to Vice as “salacious” and “indecent.”
This statement provoked strong reactions from infuriated netizens who not only criticized the former Senate President but also brought up his well-known history of corruption and marital problems.
Social activist and singer Leah Navarro, in her tweet, harshly criticized Enrile, recalling how he fabricated his own assassination attempt as a pretext for Ferdinand Marcos Sr.’s declaration of Martial Law.

Former PBB housemate Justin Dizon also chimed in, pointing out how Vice Ganda achieved fame and fortune without resorting to embezzling taxpayers’ money or being unfaithful to his partner.

Kapamilya writer Jerry Gracio also criticized Enrile’s hypocrisy, bringing up Enrile’s staged ambush and coup attempt against President Cory Aquino.
