On September 4, talent manager-director Johnny Manahan confirmed that he wanted to work with Kapuso stars Barbie Forteza, Julie Anne San Jose, and Dingdong Dantes.
At the media event for ‘The Voice Generations,’ which LionhearTV covered, Manahan praised Forteza’s acting capability, describing the Kapuso actress as a ‘magnetic’ person on screen.
“Siguro si Miss Clai, Miss Clai, Barbie (Forteza), tuwang-tuwa ako doon eh noong pinapanood ko ‘yung Maria Clara at Ibarra. Basta nasa eksena si Barbie, she’s magnetic. Maliit siya pero kala mo ten-foot tall siya kapag acting niya. She’s one of the person.”
He also expressed interest in working with ‘The Voice Generations’ cast, Dingdong Dantes and Julie Anne San Jose.
“The other one is si Dong, na nakatrabaho ko na no, but I’d still like to work with him in the future.
“Pati si Julie Anne. If may idea ako for a musical– di naman series, parang special lang. Kasi mayroon siyang ‘yung ano di ba? Ano ba ‘yung special niya, Limitless. Gusto ko naman gumawa noon, iba, ibang kalokohan naman kasama niya. She’s a, major talent ‘yun eh. Lalo na kapag narinig mo ‘yung alto niya, ‘yung mababa.”
He then discussed working with other ‘The Voice Generations’ judges like Billy Crawford.
“Billy Crawford, I’ve always wanted to work with Billy sa The Voice, and now we had the opportunity of getting Billy, busy din siya. Some of the people in our production staff, didn’t know, di nila alam na kumakanta pala si Billy, kasi bata ‘yung mga nasa production staff, mga bagets. Sabi ko ang galing niyan kumanta, kung nakita ninyo kung paano kumilos ‘yan. Now you’ll see how Billy moves.”
‘The Voice Generations’ features judges and coaches Billy Crawford, Chito Miranda, Julie Anne San Jose, and Stell Ajero of SB19.
Hosted by Dingdong Dantes and under the direction of Manahan, ‘The Voice Generations’ began on August 27, with new episodes every Sunday, 7 PM on GMA Network.
