Kapuso star Alden Richards took center stage on ‘ASAP Natin ‘To’ for the first time, and he wasn’t alone in this special moment.
Joining him in this remarkable appearance was none other than his co-star, Julia Montes, from the upcoming movie ‘Five Break-Ups and a Romance.’
The duo delivered an engaging performance of ‘Jeepney’ by Sponge Cola, not only showcasing their musical talents but also promoting their highly anticipated film.
During the performance, Alden Richards couldn’t contain his excitement, exclaiming, “First time. Dati napapanood ko lang po ‘to sa TV ko… Shoutout po sa mga magulang ko, artista na po ako.”
Beyond the musical performance, Alden Richards and Julia Montes took a moment to discuss their personal growth and the artistic evolution that came with their collaboration on the film.
Montes expressed, “Super sarap po na experience, tsaka siguro, kasi ako hindi nga ako lagi gumagawa ng film, ito ‘yung one for the books, iba talaga, tsaka iba si Alden eh”.
Richards added, “More than anything po, it really shows na I think hindi mo siya kailangang i-project (o) kailangan put on, everything’s organic. It was a journey, not just (for) being an actor but also our individual journeys while doing the film, sobrang gaan”.
When asked about how they would encourage viewers to watch their film, Montes stated, “I’m sure sa mga nakapanood na po, maraming naka-relate, maraming napatanong kung tama ba ‘yung paglalaban ko sa pagmamahal noon o kulang pa, kailangan dinagdagan ko pa, mga ganoon”.
Alden Richards added, “When we see films, we often form first impressions based on what’s on the surface, on what we see. But with this film, it has a deeper message; it’s about love with profound meanings.”
‘Five Break-Ups and a Romance’ is still showing in theaters nationwide.
