Kapuso star Kyline Alcantara recently gained attention on social media for her response to her co-star Mariel Pamintuan’s cryptic blind item regarding an incident that occurred during a project they both worked on.
In a video posted by Mariel, she discussed a particular encounter with a somewhat mysterious ‘diva’ during one of her projects. She detailed how the director had cautioned her not to slap the actress too forcefully during a scene. However, Mariel was taken aback when her co-star did not follow the same advice.
According to Mariel, the producer even approached her and advised, “Tapos sabi sa akin ng producer, lumapit sa akin, ‘Mariel, wag mong lalakasan, ah. Kasi nung rehearsal nakita kita, e, parang malakas yung amba mo. Parang malakas, e. Huwag mong tototohanin. Yung mukhang totoo lang, pero huwag malakas.” Despite this, the lead actress fully committed to the scene, leaving Mariel in awe of her dedication.
Mariel also noted a noticeable difference in treatment between a newcomer actress and the show’s leading cast member.

Following this exchange, the scene featuring Mariel and Kyline was shared on various social media platforms.
As of the time of writing, Mariel has not confirmed whether she was referring to Kyline in her original post.
Both Mariel Pamintuan and Kyline Alcantara were part of the Kapuso afternoon series titled ‘Luv Is: Love At First Read,’ which aired from June 12 to July 28. Kyline played the lead character Angelika Bianca, while Mariel portrayed the role of Sandy.
It is worth noting that Mariel’s character was not originally part of the Wattpad series and was introduced based on her real-life experiences at the GMA Gala event in 2022.
