On November 3, award-winning actor Allen Dizon surmised why the Kapuso afternoon series Abot Kamay na Pangarap succeeded.
At the media event launch for his endorsement of Smart Access Philippines, which LionhearTV covered, Dizon attributed the success of the Kapuso teleserye to the direction of LA Madridejos.
“Siguro ‘yung–siguro sa magic ng director. Si Direk LA Madridejos. Ang ganda kasi ng– halimbawa may script kami no, ang haba ng mga lines tapos iba-iba ‘yung mga lines, iniiba niya. Pwede approach, pinapalitan niya. Halimbawa, ganyan kahaba ‘yung lines mo, ‘yung mga ano, iibahin niya, so wag mo nang i-memorize.
“Pero, of course, babasahin mo siya, iintindihin mo, tapos kapag rehearsals, or training, iibahin niya.”
He also noted the professionalism of his co-stars in the GMA Network afternoon program.
“Tapos siguro sa mga actors na lahat down to earth, lahat professional.”
Dizon detailed behind-the-scenes bonding between the cast members that further solidified their camaraderie on set.
“Si Carmina tsaka si Zoey, sila matatakaw sa set. Kain sila ng kain. Si Pinky tsaka si Zoey, si Carmina naman, madami siyang dalang pagkain, pero bihira lang kumain.
“Si Jillian laging may sipon, tapos laging nag-aasthma siya doon dahil pagod na pagod sa taping, iba-iba ang taping niya. Lagi kaming magka-eksena. Wala kapag tinawag mo–okay naman si Miss D, before sa akin, medyo may ano–medyo mataray siya, intimidating, pero sa amin hindi naman. Si Richard–boys, wala kwentuhan kami, tropa-tropa lang.
“Hindi naman, siyempre iba naman kasi si Richard. Iba naman ‘yung career niya, iba naman ‘yung time na nauna sila sa show na ‘yan. Si Dominic Ochoa, ako ‘yung pangatlong pumasok eh. So, siguro ako lang ‘yung medyo ano– first taping namin noong Feb.”
