On October 6, Kapuso star Jillian Ward addressed whether she would be open to joining beauty pageants.Â
At the media event for her month-long episode for ‘Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko Presents: Captain Kitten,’ which LionhearTV covered, Ward confirmed that she would continue to focus on her acting and music career rather than venturing into pageantry.
“Well, hindi po kasi ako talaga passionate about sa mga beauty pageants. Pero, ewan ko po, since baby po ko talaga, buong buhay ko po is artista na talaga ako. So ito po talaga ‘yung nasa puso ko eh, and music po.”
She then highlighted her plans for the future, including movie projects, TV shows, and focusing on releasing her music.
“Siguro mas makikita ninyo po talaga ako sa film industry, siguro po more movies, more shows, and siguro po music. Mas ipu-pursue ko na po ‘yung talent ko po sa music. Sa beauty pageants po, ay hindi pa po siya pumapasok sa isip ko.Â
“Hindi naman po sa ayaw, siguro hindi pa po siya– talagang more on doon po ako sa art ng acting and music kumbaga. Pero hindi po natin alam, in the future.”
As for her role in ‘Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko,’ Ward noted that she took on stunts in the superhero-themed story of their month-long episode.
“Ginawa ko po mostly ‘yung stunts ko po talaga. Kasi gusto ko po ma-experience. So ‘yung mga suntok-suntok po, ‘yung mga sipa-sipa. Pero, siyempre mayroon rin po akong double para ma-sure na safe, kasi hindi pa po ako sanay sa mga fight scenes. Hindi pa po ako sanay sa action kasi, first time ko po siya as a dalaga.”
As for their month-long episode, ‘Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko Presents: Captain Kitten” features Jillian Ward with Shuvee Etrata, Kim Perez, Gabby Eigenmann, Archie Alemania, and Angela Alarcon.
