Kapuso star Jon Lucas has been granted a remarkable opportunity to be a part of the new full-action series, ‘Black Rider.’
In this series, he portrays Calvin Magallanes, the son of the leader of the Golden Scorpion syndicate and serves as the antagonist in the life of Elias Guerrero, played by primetime action hero Ruru Madrid.
In the recent episode of the series, the characters of Jon Lucas and Ruru Madrid had an intense encounter where tensions escalated due to a traffic altercation. Calvin, seeking retaliation, targeted Elias’ home, firing bullets even though his pregnant wife and a young child were inside.
Before securing this role, Jon had been pondering the idea of taking a break from showbiz. He honestly shared his thoughts on this matter, admitting to feeling pressured and anxious. He often sought guidance from those around him, wrestling with doubts about his potential.
Nevertheless, Jon’s faith in the divine plan remained unwavering, even as his self-assurance faltered. His faith was rewarded when he received an unexpected opportunity to be part of ‘Black Rider,’ a project that not only revived his career but also reinstated his self-confidence.
Jon acknowledged that his confidence had waned, and he felt the urge to withdraw from showbiz. He contemplated the possibility of temporarily stepping away from the industry. It was a challenging decision, and he shared his thoughts on social media.
“Pasuko na po, magpapaalam na muna sana na magpahinga. Hanggang sa nag-message sakin handler ko na may taping ako ng “TADHANA” kaya sabi ko “Sige po go ako”. Balak ko after noon, okay na siguro muna ako. Isipin ko munang mabuti kung ano ‘yung mga dapat kong i-improve. ISIPIN MUNA kung okay pa ba ako dito?” Jon reflected.
However, unexpected news changed everything.
“Hanggang sa taping mismo ng TADHANA, doon ko nalaman na kasama ako sa BLACK RIDER BUTI PALA NAG GO AKO!! Buti pala kahit wala akong tiwala na sa sarili ko, nagtiwala pa rin ako sa Diyos. Nagpatotoo Siya sa atin ulit,” Jon explained.
Filled with gratitude, Jon has dedicated his success to the divine, vowing to give his utmost in his work. He knows that all accomplishments stem from God.
“Basta mula noon hanggang ngayon, alam kong hindi dahil sa ako’y magaling, kundi dahil sa Diyos lahat nanggagaling. Kaya alam ko rin na lahat ng ginawa at ibinigay namin ay sinamahan Niya kami. Anoman ang maging resulta nito, ngayon palang sa Panginoong Diyos ang lahat ng kapurihan,” Jon affirmed.
