Kylie Padilla recently appeared on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ where she discussed her relationship with her ex-husband, Aljur Abrenica, revealing the challenges and the importance of keeping her family together.

In a heartfelt exchange with Boy Abunda, Kylie was asked to share the most significant lesson she learned from her relationship with Aljur.

Kylie paused for a moment before responding, “Medyo cliché, e, but I wish nagtira ako para sa sarili ko. Yes. Kasi, I gave my all talaga.” She went on to describe the struggles they faced in their relationship, emphasizing that she persevered for the sake of their children.

Kylie explained, “For a time sa relationship namin pagdadaanan niyo talaga as people in relationships will go through, you know, struggles. But because I made the promise of marriage, even if sabi ko sa sarili ko, ‘Okay, if I’m unhappy now, and magiging ganito na ‘yung set up namin, paglalaban ko pa rin para sa mga anak ko.’”

Her voice choked with emotion as she continued, “Oh my, God. Inubos ko and nauwi din sa hiwalayan,”

Kylie emphasized that she did not want to subject her children to the pain of a broken family and that she fought for her relationship with Aljur out of love for her kids. She also expressed her frustration with people’s perceptions of celebrities and their relationships, citing unfair judgments.

Kylie revealed that she doesn’t believe in marriage personally but did it for the sake of her children.

“Yes! Because, Tito Boy, sa totoo lang, I don’t believe in marriage. I don’t. But because I want my kids to have a whole family, I did it. I did it because gusto ko maranasan nila ‘yun, ‘yung buo ‘yun,” she said.

When asked if she had any regrets, Kylie firmly responded with a “Walang pagsisisi.” She explained that her children still have a good relationship with their father, and she doesn’t want them to grow up without a father figure.

As the conversation continued, Boy questioned Kylie about her attitude toward falling in love again. She answered, “No. I tried to work on my heart na hindi maging cynical. I don’t want to end in a place where I’m cynical.”

Kylie and Aljur confirmed their separation in July 2021. The couple, who got married in 2018, has two children, Alas and Axl. Kylie is set to appear in the new action series ‘Black Rider’ on GMA Network, starting November 6.
