It appears that the Christmas holiday rush has already taken center stage, affecting the ratings of the leading shows ’24 Oras’, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ),’ and ‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap (AKNP).’

According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, rating leaders ’24 Oras’, FPJBQ, and AKNP exhibited lower ratings compared to their usual averages.

On Monday, December 4, the Kapuso primetime newscast, ’24 Oras’, recorded a rating of 15.9 percent, followed by FPJBQ with a rating of 14.8 percent.

On Tuesday, December 5, ’24 Oras’ saw a slight dip of 0.1 percent to 15.8 percent, while FPJBQ increased by 1 percent, leveling the playing field.

Wednesday, December 6, brought declines for both programs, with ’24 Oras’ securing a 15.5 percent rating, a 0.3 percent decrease from its previous ratings, and FPJBQ experiencing a more significant drop of 2.7 percent to 13.1 percent.

The downward trend persisted for ’24 Oras’ on Thursday, December 7, as it further dropped to 14.7 percent in ratings. FPJBQ, on the other hand, showed improvement, reaching 14.5 percent.

On Friday, December 8, both shows encountered another sharp decline, with ’24 Oras’ dropping to 13.9 percent and FPJBQ obtaining 12.8 percent.

In addition to the primetime leaders, daytime shows also saw a decline in ratings.

On Tuesday, December 5, ‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap’ secured a rating of 11.2 percent, claiming the 4th spot in the overall ratings board.

However, the following day, Wednesday, December 6, AKNP experienced a significant drop to 10.1 percent, marking a 1.1 percent decrease from its previous ratings.

The decline persisted on Thursday, December 7, as AKNP dropped by 0.4 percent to 9.7 percent. It did, however, recover by the end of the week on Friday, December 8, achieving a 10.7 percent rating.
