On January 22, Kapamilya artist Criza Taa had no questions asked when Star Magic head director Laurenti Dyogi asked her to audition for Zoomers.
At the media conference for Zoomers, which LionhearTV covered, Taa recounted her reaction when she participated on the second day of the auditions.
“‘Yun nga since sinabi ni Luke na parang second day na po kami nag-audition, sobrang hirap siya for me. Because I didn’t know what to expect kung sino ba ‘yung makaka-eksena ko, as in no idea.
“Actually, I didn’t know na parang pagdating ko pala doon gagawin siyang parang reality na naka-coverage pala siya lahat.”
She also highlighted her no-questions-asked attitude when Dyogi asked her to audition for the role.
“The night before parang, they told me–Direk Lauren wanted you to be there–if pwede ka, punta ka tomorrow.
“May ganon po, pero sa akin po medyo sanay na po ako na pinapapunta po ako sa ABS, parang wala na po akong– no questions asked kapag si Direk Lauren ang nagsabi na punta po ako sa ABS.”
She then noted some of the challenges she faced during the audition process of Zoomers.
“And then ‘yun nga po pag-punta ko po doon, I only had 15 minutes to memorize the script, the intense scene and the kilig one. So ‘yun po ‘yung naging mas challenging po sa akin.”
Dyogi knew Taa would deliver what was necessary for the role when he asked her to audition.
“Infairness naman, I knew she would deliver. When I asked her to go to the go-see, in my head, medyo bagay si Crizaa dito, bagay siya kay Harvey. So, medyo comfortable na ako doon sa idea na ‘yun.
“And natuwa ako na sabihin niyang no questions asked, kapag nagpunta siya, kasi alam niyang hindi ko sasayangin ang oras niya. It was just a formality because kailangan ko rin ma-test ‘yung nasa utak ko kung tama ba ‘yun hinala ko.”
The Kapamilya primetime series Zoomers stars Harvey Bautista, Criza Taa, Analain Salvador, Ashton Salvador, and Luke Alford.
The cast features Star Magic artists Ralph De Leon, Krystl Ball, Erika Davis, Luis Vera Perez, Kei Kurosawa, Hadiyah Santos, Redd Arcega, Noelle Martinex, Reich Alim, Jay-R Albino, Matthew Cruz, Omar Udin, and Zabel Lamberth.
Under the direction of Chad Vidanes, Zoomers airs after Can’t Buy Me Love at 10:15 PM on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5, with episode streaming via ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel.
