Actress Kathryn Bernardo has solidified her ongoing commitment to ABS-CBN by officially renewing her exclusive network contract.
The actress, accompanied by her mother Min Bernardo and co-managers Lulu Romero, Allan Real, and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, put an end to recent speculations about her career trajectory.
Addressing questions in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, Bernardo acknowledged the industry norm of artists receiving offers from various entities as their contracts near expiration.
She emphasized the natural course of such offers and the individual freedom each artist possesses to decide their professional affiliations.
“I’ve seen the articles, the news, and for me naman kasi as a celebrity, and siguro I can speak in general for the celebrities, when your contract is ending, normal naman talaga to get offers from different networks, managements, or whatever. Parang it’s a normal thing. And I don’t see anything wrong with it sa mga naka-decide na you know na lilipat. Desisyon mo ‘yun. We all have the freedom to decide kung sino ang gusto mong mag-manage sa ‘yo,” she explained.
Amid offers from other networks, Bernardo expressed unwavering loyalty to ABS-CBN and Star Magic, citing the two-decade-long harmonious partnership and friendship she has cultivated within the Kapamilya network.
“Mabilis ko sigurong nasagot na hindi talaga. Because hindi ko naman siya naisip, ‘coz I’m very happy with everything now. Especially the partnership and the friendship with Direk Lauren and Star Magic. Hindi ko talaga siya na na-entertain pero there were offers siyempre. But I know deep inside my heart na ABS is my only choice,” she stated.
While specific projects are yet to be outlined, Bernardo expressed her eagerness to collaborate with different individuals and explore diverse materials to challenge and enhance her skills in the industry.
