Champion surfer Philmar Alipayo has addressed the recent rumors about his relationship with fiancée Andi Eigenmann, reaffirming their strong bond amidst allegations of him flirting with content creator Crissa Liaging in Siargao.
Philmar remained unperturbed by the speculations, which originated from a viral TikTok video showing a close interaction between him and Crissa. Netizens speculated about the nature of their conversation, leading to widespread gossip.
To dispel the rumors, Philmar posted several photos with Andi on his Instagram Story, showcasing their solid relationship.
One particularly sweet photo featured Philmar, Andi, and their daughter Lilo, captioned “National Couple Day! Post your other half (heart emoji).”
The pictures were taken at Thunderbird Resorts & Casinos-Poro Point in La Union.
The controversy began on May 25 when Crissa posted a TikTok video where she was seen talking to a shirtless Philmar. The caption read, “For how many weeks staying here in siargao finally i saw you!” This led to heavy criticism of Crissa from netizens.
Andi Eigenmann addressed the viral video, saying, “He can go out with his friends, go drinking every once in a while, and chat with whoever he wants. No harm in that. What’s shameful is purposely posting and editing a video to ause a stir, disturbing the peace of people and dragging them into their negativity, just for some social media attention.”

Crissa also issued an official statement denying any flirtation with Philmar. She admitted fault for the misunderstanding but insisted there was no inappropriate behavior.
“Hindi totoo ang inyong iniisip at hindi totoo ang mga naglalabasang isyu sa social media. Alam ko mga kaibigan na mali ko, ako rin ang naglaglag sa aking sarili,” Crissa said in Bisaya.
She explained that the interaction was public and harmless. “Walang flirting na nangyari dahil nasa public place kami. At hindi ko rin ma-please si Philmar the way siya tumingin at mag-act sa akin,” she said. Crissa acknowledged her mistake in not maintaining distance but reiterated that she did not flirt with Philmar, knowing he is a family man.
“Masyado akong na-overwhelm dahil hindi ko inakala na kilala din pala niya ako. At ‘yung conversation namin ni Philmar, wala kaming ibang topic nu’n, about lang sa isa niyang kasama na surfer,” she clarified.
