ABS-CBN’s YouTube hits 50 Million subscribers, leads all entertainment YouTube channels in Southeast Asia

ABS-CBN Entertainment celebrates another digital milestone after hitting 50 million subscribers on YouTube to remain the most subscribed YouTube channel in the media and entertainment category in Southeast Asia.

“We are grateful to our Kapamilyas who continue to support our shows on YouTube amidst an evolving digital landscape. We share this milestone with our new and loyal subscribers alike. Since ABS-CBN’s shift to digital, our viewers have embraced YouTube as a go-to source of ABS-CBN content. We will continue to meet the increasing demand for content online through our offerings on YouTube as we make these accessible to more Kapamilyas in different parts of the world,” said Jamie Lopez, head of ABS-CBN Digital.

“Congratulations to ABS-CBN for reaching 50 million subscribers on their YouTube channel! This milestone is a testament to their commitment to providing exceptional content that resonates with millions of Filipinos and viewers around the world. ABS-CBN continues to strengthen its online presence as the company went full blast on digital in 2020 by offering for free its currently airing programs and well-loved shows on YouTube for its growing online family of subscribers.

YouTube users can look forward to the new original series “Halfmates,” streaming this October 18 and starring Kaori Oinuma and Jeremiah Lisbo, and “Four Bad Boys and Me,” ABS-CBN’s first digital movie for YouTube that is slated for release next year. Viewers should also watch out for more ABS-CBN Studios’ content that will be available exclusively on YouTube soon.

ABS-CBN also constantly innovates its YouTube viewing experience through Kapamilya Online Live, which offers 24/7 livestreaming and up to 21 days of on-demand viewing of the latest episodes of current ABS-CBN programs and classic shows.

Kapamilya Online Live is available anytime, anywhere, and it streams simultaneously for audiences in Asia, Australia, Europe, and New Zealand to allow Kapamilyas abroad to tune in to their favorite shows at the same time with their loved ones at home. The lineup includes “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” “Lavender Fields,” “Pamilya Sagrado,” “It’s Showtime,” and “ASAP,” among others.’

As more and more viewers consume content online, Kapamilya Online Live has also seen an increase in viewership outside of the Philippines particularly in Japan, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

Additionally, the YouTube channel offers worldwide the full episodes of “Senior High,” “High Street,” “Can’t Buy Me Love,” and “Linlang.”

Subscribers can also enjoy “Super Kapamilya” membership that gives exclusive access to livestreams of popular events, must-see behind-the-scenes features, and engaging content with their favorite Kapamilya stars.

Popular digital series of ABS-CBN Entertainment include the Bisaya talk show “Kuan on One” that amassed over 14.2 million views on YouTube, ContentAsia awardee for Best Asian Short-Form Drama/Series “Zoomers,” and ABS-CBN’s first co-production series with YouTube “How to Move On in 30 Days.”
