The CinePanalo Film Festival 2025 officially launched on January 24 at Artson Events Place in Quezon City, featuring a star-studded lineup of Filipino talent and an exciting roster of films set to showcase the best of Philippine cinema.

Organized by Puregold, the festival aims to celebrate Filipino storytelling and promote emerging and established filmmakers.

The grand launch was attended by renowned actors and filmmakers, including JC Santos, KD Estrada, Alexa Ilacad, Jameson Blake, Allen Dizon, Enzo Osorio, Ruby Ruiz, Romnick Sarmenta, Therese Malvar, and Xander Nuda. Their presence highlighted the growing prestige of CinePanalo, now in its second year.

The much-anticipated festival will run from March 14 to March 25 at Gateway Cineplex 18 in Quezon City, showcasing a mix of full-length features and student short films.

CinePanalo has quickly gained traction in the local film scene, with this year’s submissions nearly doubling those of its inaugural edition in 2024. Festival Director Chris Cahilig expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, saying, “The CinePanalo Film Festival continues to level up. We’re grateful for the filmmakers, our partners, and the community who believe in this project.”

Last year’s entries earned accolades not only locally but also on the international stage.
