Actor Jak Roberto has opted to remain silent regarding his recent breakup with long-time girlfriend Barbie Forteza, signaling that he needs more time before addressing the matter publicly.
In an episode of ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ aired last Friday, host Boy Abunda shared that he had reached out to Roberto to hear his side of the story but respected the actor’s request for privacy.
“We reached out to Jak Roberto, pero humiling po siya ng panahon—some time—bago siya magsalita,” Abunda revealed.
Abunda lauded Forteza for her composed and heartfelt announcement, highlighting her decision to focus on gratitude despite the pain of the breakup.
“Any goodbye is painful, lalo na in the context of a romantic relationship. Seven years is a long time. Masakit ito,” Abunda said.
The host admired Forteza’s statement, emphasizing how she chose to remember the good times shared during their relationship.
“She’s coming from a place of love. Hindi lang nag-work, pero masakit man, they were seven wonderful years. ‘I became who I am today because of you, because of that relationship,’” he added.
Abunda acknowledged the emotional toll of the split on both Roberto and Forteza and urged fans to respect their need for space and healing.
“Masakit po ’yun, eh. After seven years, you say, ‘Sana, makahanap ka ng magmamahal sa ’yo.’ She must be in pain, Jak must be in pain, and we respect that,” he noted.
The TV host also addressed the online speculations stemming from a cryptic post by Barbie’s sibling but refrained from drawing conclusions.
“I don’t wanna go into that because I might be putting meaning into things that we don’t know. Hayaan natin sila mag-heal,” Abunda said.
Abunda wrapped up his remarks with words of support for both celebrities.
