A contestant from ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan: All-Star Grand Resbak 2025’ has been officially disqualified from the competition for allegedly violating the terms of the agreement he signed prior to joining the show.
In an announcement posted on the official Facebook page of It’s Showtime, the program confirmed that Marco Adobas, from Pangkat Alon, has been removed from the competition for breaching the rules outlined in his signed waiver.
“Sa hindi inaasahang pangyayari, si Marco Adobas ng Pangkat Alon ay may nilabag na alituntunin na nakasaad sa kanyang pinirmahang kasunduan. Dahilan para siya ay ma-disqualify at hindi na magpatuloy sa kumpetisyon,” the statement read.
The announcement also noted the possibility of legal repercussions.
“At dahil sa mga mabigat na paratang na inilathala niya sa kanyang social media patungkol sa kumpetisyon at sa programa, ay may posibilidad na masampahan siya ng kaso,” the program stated.
To maintain the balance among teams, ‘It’s Showtime’ introduced Arvery Lagoring, previously part of the eliminated Pangkat Amihan, as Marco’s replacement in Pangkat Alon.
“Napagdesisyunan ng programa na siya ay palitan upang manatiling kumpleto ang bilang ng mga miyembro ng pangkat… at ang piniling kapalit ay si Arvery Lagoring,” the management added.
The statement was also read live on ‘It’s Showtime’ by hosts Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, and Vice Ganda.
The issue reportedly stemmed from a now-viral Facebook post by Adobas, where he expressed dissatisfaction over the outcome of a recent showdown between fellow contestants Marko Rudio and Ayegee Paredes, calling the contest a “cooking show”—a term often used to imply rigging or bias.
Rudio won the round, performing ‘Yugto’ by Rico Blanco, while Paredes sang ‘Superwoman’ by Karyn White. The judges at the time included Louie Ocampo, Dingdong Avanzado, and Pops Fernandez.
Adobas’ post claimed that Ayegee, who reportedly returned from abroad for the competition, deserved to win.
During the episode, Vice Ganda offered a reminder to current and future contestants: “Be very careful. Maaari tayong magbigay ng ating opinyon, pero siguraduhin nating ang ating opinyon ay hindi makakapahamak sa ibang tao, sa mga grupo, at lalo na sa sarili ninyo. Please be mindful kung ano ang pinipirmahan ninyo.”
Despite the controversy, the battle among Pangkat Alab, Pangkat Agimat, and Pangkat Alon continues on ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan: All-Star Grand Resbakan 2025’.
