Filipino food content creator Abi Marquez has made history by taking home the Food Creator of the Year at the 7th Annual WIBA (World Influencers and Bloggers Awards), held on May 23rd, 2025, at the iconic Hotel Martinez during the Cannes Film Festival.
The prestigious event brought together top global content creators whose viral work continues to shape digital culture and inspire change.
Held annually during the Cannes season, the WIBA Awards honor the most influential voices in digital media across the globe. Abi’s win shines a spotlight on her culturally rich and creative food content, which has earned her over 8.3 million followers and global recognition for championing Filipino cuisine.
“This win shows that no dream is too big, no matter your age or where you come from—even if you’re on the other side of the world. We’re living in a digital age where we’re all more connected than ever, and I’m grateful for that power we have to share and inspire. As a content creator, I challenge everyone to dream big, but always stay true to who you are.
As a Filipino foodie, my journey to bring Filipino food to the global stage isn’t over yet. There’s so much more to share because, as they say, food is best enjoyed when shared. So, thank you, Cannes, for not only shining a light on me but also on Filipino food and the vibrant culture behind it,” Abi shared.
By joining the ranks of past WIBA title holders such as Maye Musk, Khaby Lame, Nusret Gökçe, NikkieTutorials, and Foodgod, Abi establishes her place among the world’s most impactful digital personalities.

For the ceremony, Abi stunned in a custom modern Filipiniana gown designed by Jo Rubio and styled and conceptualized by Pam Ricarte. The dress featured intricate details inspired by the iconic Filipino-style spaghetti—a playful yet elegant tribute to her culinary roots. As a food creator and proud Filipina, Abi’s look seamlessly blended personal branding with cultural homage, making her a standout on the blue carpet.
During the night, Abi shared the space with an exciting mix of global creators and artists. She chatted with music artist Argy, Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco, and viral internet star Pandaboi. At her table sat digital entrepreneur and creator Jodok Vuille, and she also had a moment with electronic music duo Lionfield.
