‘Drag Race Philippines’ Season 3 Miss Congeniality Versex has broken her silence, adding her voice to the growing criticism against the show’s creative director, Fifth Solomon.
In a series of candid tweets, Versex expressed support for the ongoing petition demanding Solomon’s removal, citing concerns over the show’s leadership and creative direction.
“I have a lot of sentiments, both from inside and outside the show. Unfortunately, there are things I can’t say because my hands are tied and I’m bound by my contract,” Versex wrote. “In true congenial fashion, I want to express my support for this petition. I believe we deserve a smarter, more capable creative director—someone who focuses on our stories and tells them truthfully.”
She added, “I truly hope something comes out of all this, because I’m sick and tired of hearing stories that are reduced to whispers—things that can’t be said out loud just because the person at the top is too powerful.”
The petition against Solomon has already gathered over 8,000 signatures in just a few days. It accuses the director of “elitism, discrimination, transphobia, body-shaming, bullying, and power tripping,” demanding his removal from a show that many believe should stand for inclusivity and acceptance within the LGBTQIA+ community.
Versex didn’t hold back, even referencing her scheduled performance at Hoesik Bar in Makati, which is reportedly co-owned by Solomon. “Partida may show pa kame sa Hoesik niyan a pero wala naman daw siya so gow! Walang basong dapat gumalaw kung talagang safe space talaga sa Hoesik!” she posted, calling for true safe spaces for drag performers.
She further urged the community to stop patronizing certain personalities out of fear. “Tantanan na ang pagpapatronize sa baklang yan out of fear na hindi makapasok sa show o makapag All Stars. Change is needed para walang oppressed. Kailangan nating tumindig para sa pangarap ng mga bakla.”

Support for Versex poured in from fellow queens, including Season 3 co-contestant Myx Chanel, who posted: “That’s why @vversexx is our Miss Congeniality. She’s always been the most fearless of us, ready to take bullets for her sisters.”
Myx also wrote, “For all the moments taken out of context and twisted. For all of the vulnerability taken advantage of and manipulated.”
Amid the backlash, Solomon was reportedly brought to the emergency room after suffering a mental breakdown due to online attacks. In a Facebook post on June 16, he said, “I’m okay now. I’m in the ER with my sister Balitang Inaaaaa!” referring to comedienne Chariz Solomon.
He cited online bullying as the cause of his breakdown and noted that he plans to release an official statement soon. In a previous post, he fired back at critics: “Call me names. Laugh all you want. I’ve heard worse. Survived worse… You can’t bring me down. Only the people I love have that power.”
Despite his hospitalization, Solomon later posted a video showing himself walking outdoors, signaling he had been discharged.
Fifth Solomon first rose to prominence as a housemate on ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ in 2014, before transitioning to directing.
