Fresh from her exit in ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’, actress Xyriel Manabat is set to appear in an episode of GMA Network’s long-running drama anthology ‘Wish Ko Lang!’ — marking her first-ever project with the Kapuso network.
In an interview with Lhar Santiago for ’24 Oras’, Xyriel shared how meaningful the opportunity is, especially coming from a Kapamilya background.
“Sobra po siyang surreal kasi hindi naman po naming mga Kapamilya artists i-e-expect ever na puwede kaming mag-crossover sa Wish Ko Lang! And hindi po biro ang Wish Ko Lang! sa larangan po ng industriya,” she said.
Photos from her taping show Xyriel in a schoolgirl uniform, hinting at a character-driven episode that highlights the show’s signature heartfelt storytelling.
Xyriel, one of the most recognizable young stars of her generation, recently ended her journey as the latest evictee in ‘PBB Celebrity Collab Edition’, alongside Sparkle artist Vince Maristela. Since her exit, she has kept busy with outside projects, with her ‘Wish Ko Lang!’ stint being one of the most notable.
Meanwhile, Vince Maristela has also found his footing on the Kapuso side, now appearing in the ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.’
Though still identifying as a Kapamilya, Xyriel has expressed openness in working across networks, even revealing in a separate interview with GMA News Online that she dreams of collaborating with real-life Kapuso power couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes someday.
