Social media star Mika Salamanca and model-actor Brent Manalo, collectively known as the ‘BreKa’ duo, emerged as the Big Winners of ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ during the star-studded Big Night held Saturday, July 5, at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

Garnering 33% of the combined public votes, the pair took home ₱1 million each, marking a triumphant end to the show’s first-ever “duo format” season.

Brent echoed the sentiment: “Gusto ko lang po sabihin na basta puso ‘yung panlaban, anything is possible. God is good. Thank you po. Marami pong salamat.”

The season, which premiered on March 9, made history on multiple fronts. It was the first time Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) aired on GMA Network, a major collaboration with ABS-CBN in celebration of the franchise’s 20th anniversary. It also introduced the duo twist — a format that paired Kapamilya and Kapuso celebrities to live and compete as teams throughout the season.
With a total of 20 celebrity housemates — 10 each from ABS-CBN and GMA Network — the show created fresh dynamics among talents from rival networks. The duo format brought surprising chemistry, tension, and camaraderie among pairs, as they faced weekly tasks, evictions, and twists together.
The Big Night featured appearances from celebrity guests and former housemates, with performances by ‘The Clash’ and ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan: All-Star Grand Resbak’ singers. Among the special guests were Michelle Dee, Bianca Umali, and Donny Pangilinan, who joined the celebration of the show’s milestone season.
As the third celebrity edition and 18th overall installment of ‘Pinoy Big Brother,’ the Celebrity Collab Edition marked a unique chapter in the reality show’s legacy — one that celebrated unity, resilience, and collaboration in a way only Filipino television can deliver.
