Barangay Marilag officially opened the gates of its newest community project, ‘Paraiso ng Batang Marilag,’ a dedicated space for children designed to foster creativity, play, and learning.

This initiative marks a major step in the barangay’s mission to become Quezon City’s leading child-friendly community.
The opening ceremony was attended by key city officials, including Congressman Franz Pumaren and Councilor Luigi Pumaren, who served as the event’s principal guests and helped inaugurate the space.
“This project is a direct reflection of our profound love for the children of Barangay Marilag,” said Barangay Chairman Matty Perez during the ceremony. “We are building a vibrant space where countless wonderful and lasting memories will be forged.”
The ‘Paraiso ng Batang Marilag’ is expected to serve as a venue not only for leisure but also for educational and cultural activities. Its child-friendly design makes it an ideal space for young talents, including child stars, to hold tapings and film shoots.
More than just a play space, the initiative reflects the barangay’s long-term goal to nurture a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for its young residents — a foundation, leaders say, for a brighter and more empowered future.
“This is more than a project; it’s a promise to our children and to the generations that will follow,” added Chairman Perez. (With reports from Loyd Pino)
