Actress and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto is grieving the death of her husband, Trevor Magallanes, and is asking for prayers and respect as she and their daughter navigate this difficult time.
On Instagram, Rufa Mae posted a series of throwback photos of her and Trevor, along with a message confirming his passing.
“I’m deeply saddened by this development. Hope you give us time to mourn his loss, especially my daughter. Just pray for us that we will get through this with the help of God,” she wrote.
She also appealed to the public to refrain from spreading rumors as their family is still in the process of confirming details surrounding his death. “We are still gathering factual information about his death. Meanwhile, messages from Trevor’s friends also flooded his own Instagram page. “Wish it didn’t turn out this way for you bro. Fly high and rest in paradise,” one friend commented.
Rufa Mae and Trevor tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Quezon City in 2016. They welcomed their daughter Athena in 2017 and lived in the U.S. for several years. In December 2024, Trevor publicly revealed that they were undergoing divorce proceedings.
However, in a past interview, Rufa clarified that no legal divorce had been filed. “Walang nag file. Hindi ako mag fi-file kasi andami ko ng file sa kaso. Ayoko muna mag-file sa divorce kasi dito rin naman kami kinasal sa Pilipinas,” she explained. “Oo naman mahal ko siya siyempre tsaka gusto ko makumpleto ang pamilya namin.”
