The global spotlight turns to the Philippines as Top Supermodel, the premier international fashion competition, officially announces two major fashion events set to take place this September, marking a significant cultural collaboration between the Philippines and Australia.
At the heart of this initiative is the Preliminary & International Runway, happening on September 5 and 6 at the historic walls of Intramuros, Manila. This vibrant two-day showcase will feature 25 contestants—24 Australians and one Filipino-Australian—vying for the title of Top Supermodel Australia 2025. It promises to be more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of cultural heritage, local artistry, and inclusive empowerment.
Part of the signature Fashion Canvass series, the Intramuros event will transform Manila’s iconic district into a global runway. Guests can expect:
- Diverse Designers: A mix of rising Filipino talents and global fashion names, showcasing unique silhouettes and powerful storytelling.
- Graded Competition: Contestants will be judged based on creativity, authenticity, and how well they embody the values of diversity and inclusion.
- Cultural Celebration: Each collection reflects a blend of Filipino tradition and modern international influences.
To elevate the experience, a celebrity guest will open the show wearing pieces from the Ricky Abad collection, while renowned Filipino designer Michael Cinco is confirmed as one of the judges. Five top models and two major fashion designers will also grace the event. More exciting details will be announced on August 6.
Following the Intramuros runway, the TTSM Kaleidoscope will highlight fashion collections curated in partnership with six Local Government Units (LGUs). Each LGU will present their community’s distinct aesthetic, merging local culture with contemporary fashion in a dazzling display of creativity.
More than just a fashion show, TTSM Kaleidoscope underscores Top Supermodel’s deeper purpose—to empower communities through sustainable development. This includes: Showcasing Homegrown Talents: Providing visibility for Filipino designers and models on an international stage; Economic Growth: Encouraging tourism, employment, and investment in the local creative economy; and Cross-Cultural Exchange: Celebrating Australian and Filipino ties through fashion and shared narratives.
In line with its long-term goals, Top Supermodel is also introducing the Australia-Philippines Art Skills Center, a pioneering hub for creative training in fashion, styling, photography, and visual arts. This initiative will provide:
- Hands-on Workshops & Mentorships
- Opportunities for Women, LGBTQ+ Members, and Youth
- Sustainable Impact through Reinvestment in Local Initiatives
Three contestants—Stevie Hearl (Adelaide), Jordyn Michelle Smith (Melbourne), and Gracie Baker (Sydney)—have already arrived in the Philippines. Experiencing the country for the first time, they shared how touched they were by the warmth of the Filipino people and the tropical beauty of their new surroundings.

While the gown and swimsuit portions of the competition will be held in Australia, the Philippine leg sets the tone for the overall campaign, emphasizing fashion as a force for cultural unity and economic progress.
The competition will crown one winner, who will receive AUD 10,000 in prize money and host her own digital talk show, Fashion Microphone, on Top Supermodel Channel TV. The brand also plans to expand its categories to include male models, transgender models, and married women through the Top Supermodel Mrs. division.
Top Supermodel invites the public, cultural advocates, and fashion enthusiasts to witness these transformative events—where creativity meets advocacy and where fashion becomes a platform for empowerment.
