International girl group Quadlips unveiled their latest single, ‘IDGA’, during a press conference on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Seda Vertis North.
The four-member unit described the track as a “breakup anthem,” setting it apart from their past releases.

Cole, representing the Philippines through MNL48, highlighted how the song differs from their emotional previous single ‘Wings Grow Back.’

“The music is really different from ‘Wings Grow Back’ because our next song is more school vibes. More playful, more charming, a little bit more fun than ‘Wings Grow Back.’ ‘Wings Grow Back’ has more emotional meaning, like metaphorical meaning po siya,” she explained.

Leader Feni Fitriyanti of JKT48 (Indonesia) added: “It’s girl talk. And like, maybe if you guys have partner, like boyfriend or girlfriend, and sometimes you have different mind, and you guys like… break up.”

As the leader, Feni also revealed her hands-on involvement in the creative direction of Quadlips’ music—from concept planning to costumes and choreography.

“I’m trying to get involved with it and become the senior there. I have a lot of time with the management and sharing my idea there. The management is really open with my ideas, like, ‘How about this one? How about this one?’ So when they asked me, ‘Maybe you want to make a concept for our new music?’ I said, of course, yes.”
She also expressed gratitude for the opportunity: “I like to do fashion and I like to make something, like graphic for the concept for the music video. This is a really important experience for me because the girls really help me. They really support me. So, I’m really thankful for my management, my members and everyone who supports me. It’s really big, big experience that I cannot forget about.”
When asked which Filipino artists they’d like to collaborate with, Thai member Fame was quick to respond: “SB19! I really admire how they perform—it’s so amazing and cool!”
Cole agreed, noting the similarity in sound and vibe between the two groups: “I feel like our vibe and genre are quite similar.”

Formed in Bangkok, Quadlips is the first global sub-unit of the AKB48 Group, composed of Feni (Indonesia), Hina (Japan’s SKE48), Cole (Philippines’ MNL48), and Fame (Thailand’s BNK48). The group debuted on March 11, 2024, with their English single ‘Catch Me Kiss Me’ and has since released ‘Over Drive,’ ‘Checklist,’ ‘Lipstick,’ ‘Wings Grow Back’, and now ‘IDGA.’ (with reports from Loyd Pino)
