Actress Angelica Panganiban got candid about her journey to motherhood and marriage during her guest appearance on volleyball star Alyssa Valdez’s podcast, ‘The Transition Playbook’.

In the heartfelt interview, Angelica opened up about her decision to step back from showbiz after 32 years in the industry to focus on building a family with her now-husband, Gregg Homan.
Angelica also recalled a touching conversation she once had with her late mother when she first expressed her desire to have a child.
Her mother eventually assured her that she was financially ready.
Following that conversation, Angelica and Gregg welcomed their daughter Amila Sabine, before eventually tying the knot—first in a civil wedding in the U.S. in 2023, followed by a beach wedding in Siargao in 2024.

During the same podcast episode, Angelica also reflected on her changing views about her body and self-image after becoming a mother.
“After giving birth, para mong mas minahal yung katawan mo… mas gugustuhin ko kung ano yung katawan ko ngayon, i-embrace ko siya dahil ito yung pinagdaanan niya,” she said, adding that she no longer believes in the idea of a “comeback.”
She emphasized that instead of longing for her old self, she has learned to celebrate her strength and transformation.
