Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH), one of the largest Catholic health systems in the United States, announced the official opening of its Global Business Services (GBS) Center in Bonifacio Global City, Manila. The new office represents a significant milestone in the commitment of BSMH in advancing its mission through global shared services with Filipino talent at the forefront.

Located at Park Triangle Corporate Center, the GBS – Manila office will provide a dynamic space for 250 Filipino associates who will provide essential human resources, finance, supply chain, and site support functions, serving BSMH associates and operations in the US and Ireland.

The opening was marked by a blessing of the new office, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by BSMH leaders, Department of Industry (DTI) Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo, Board of Investments (BOI) Director Mary Ann Raganit, and industry peers from the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) Executive Director for External Affairs & Investor Relations Jeanette Carrillo, Global Capability Center Council Philippines (GCCC) Vice Chair Carlo Mata, and Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP) Chairperson and Trustee Ma. Cristina Coronel. Other events held in line with the opening are a launch event with associates and external partners and a community outreach in partnership with Caritas Manila.
Strengthening the global health ministry
The expansion to the Philippines with GBS – Manila is part of a long-term global strategy of BSMH to enhance operational efficiency, scale the ministry’s capabilities, and ensure seamless collaboration across geographies. With the Philippines recognized as one of the world’s leading hubs for shared services, the Manila office will allow BSMH to tap into the country’s highly skilled workforce and mature infrastructure supporting global healthcare operations. Lastly, this initiative expands where BSMH can grow its international health care footprint to improve patient access and optimize care delivery to serve BSMH’s hospitals in the U.S. and Ireland.
A Commitment to the PH Community
BSMH’s office of Global Ministries supports BSMH’s mission of extending the compassionate ministry of Jesus by actively addressing the needs of those who are poor and vulnerable around the globe.
Continuing the work of the ministry’s Founding Sisters throughout the world, Global Ministries seeks to improve health globally, especially for women and children living in marginalized communities of Peru, Haiti, South Sudan and the Philippines.
Since 2013, BSMH has had a presence in the Philippines through its Global Ministries arm. Through its partnership with various organizations, BSMH addressed the immediate disaster response in the wake of typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan) to help with food, shelter, water, sanitation, medical and long-term rehabilitation efforts BSMH also recently supported a water/sanitation (WASH) initiative at St. Camillus Health Care Center as part of a broader WASH effort led by the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development.
