Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla has finally addressed the circulating rumors linking him romantically to his ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ co-star Kaila Estrada — but the actor prefers to keep things private.
Speculations about the two started when entertainment host Ogie Diaz mentioned in his vlog that Daniel and Kaila were allegedly in a relationship. The rumors intensified after a video from Daniel’s U.S. concert tour went viral, showing the actor dedicating a song to someone he called “My love.”
During an interview with MJ Felipe for ABS-CBN’s TFC program ‘Are You G?’ after receiving his Outstanding Star Award at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2025, Daniel was directly asked if he is currently in a relationship.
Instead of giving a straightforward answer, the actor laughed and said, “Kain muna tayo.”
He then explained that he no longer wants to make his personal life a public spectacle.
“Huwag na nating i-pressure ‘yung sarili natin… i-showbiz pa ‘yon, pero you get my point. Lalabas at lalabas pero ayoko lang na may naghihintay. Hayaan na nating mangyari ang mga mangyayari,” Daniel said.
He further added, “Huwag n’yo na muna kaming kulitin. Just let it be… ayoko siyang maging showbiz eh. Well, ‘di pa rin naman maiiwasan, pero may choice pa rin naman ako, ‘di ba?”
When asked if he’s happy at the moment, Daniel shared that he’s in a good place personally and professionally.
“Paano ako hindi magiging masaya eh galing lang kami sa isang masayang concert, andito ako ngayon sa Korea with my family, my friends, celebrating life, getting an award, given to me by the people who love me. So anong rason para maging malungkot?” he said.
As of now, Kaila Estrada has remained silent on the issue, neither confirming nor denying the rumors about her alleged relationship with Daniel.
