Senator Jinggoy Estrada is set to file multiple charges against former actor and LGBTQ personality Robby Tarroza, who is currently residing in Southern California, USA.
According to entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin on her ‘Showbiz Now Na!’ vlog, Estrada’s legal team has finalized the complaints, which will include cyber libel, slander by deed, and oral defamation.
“Plantillado na, naka-ready na po, nakahanda na ang mga kasong isasampa ni Senator Jinggoy Estrada laban kay Robby Tarroza,” Fermin said, revealing screenshots of Tarroza’s controversial posts and remarks on social media.
Tarroza previously went viral after making damaging accusations against Estrada on Facebook, claiming to have personal information about the senator’s alleged “double life.”
In his September 12 post, Tarroza wrote: “Jinggoy, mag-resign ka na!!! Kundi I will be forced to tell the country about your double life!!! You are one of the reasons bat kami naghiwalay. I have ALL the receipts dear. Try me! Pareho lang kayo ng EX ko, B-B-Y!!”
He later claimed on September 13 that he began receiving death threats following his statements.
Fermin added that Estrada chose to remain silent while preparing the necessary legal documents. “Tahimik lang siya, pero pala-plantsa na ang lahat,” she said, noting that witnesses have also been identified and are ready to testify.
Estrada reportedly intends to pursue the charges despite Tarroza’s current stay abroad. According to Fermin, authorities are coordinating how to serve the complaint, citing possible processes through international cooperation.
The senator’s legal move comes amid his efforts to clear his name following allegations linking him to the anomalous DPWH flood control projects, which he has repeatedly denied. Estrada earlier filed perjury charges against Brice Ericson Hernandez, a former DPWH-Bulacan official who tagged him in the controversy.
As for Tarroza, the former actor has yet to issue a formal response regarding the impending legal action.
Fermin, however, was firm in her remarks: “Hindi nagbibiro si Senator Jinggoy Estrada. Totohanin niya ito dahil sinira mo ang imahe niya. Harapin mo ang mga kaso mo.”
