Real-life couple Julia Montes and Coco Martin are set to reunite onscreen for a new project — one that the actress describes as their “dream story.”

In an interview with DJ Chacha for her YouTube show ‘From the Heart’, Julia confirmed that she and Coco will soon begin filming the project, which has already been fully conceptualized.
“Meron kaming project. ‘Yun mukhang mangyayari na kasi may kuwento na ‘yon eh,” Julia revealed. “This year i-sta-start, so hopefully puwede na namin i-announce by early next year. Dream story namin ‘yon.”
While the actress didn’t give further details about the plot or genre, fans have already expressed excitement over the long-awaited reunion of the ‘Walang Hanggan’ co-stars.
Despite being in a long-term relationship, Julia admitted that she still gets nervous and shy whenever she works with Coco on set.
“Sobrang mahiyaan kami. Kahit matagal na kami, nagkakahiyaan pa rin talaga,” she shared. “Nahihirapan ako pagka ka-work siya kasi nga nahihiya talaga ako. Imagine mo, nagtitinginan kayo tapos in character. Kinilig pa rin kasi ako kapag ka-eksena ko siya.”
Aside from acting, Julia has also taken a more active role behind the scenes as co-producer of Coco’s hit primetime series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’.
“Kasi before, kada may ginagawa si Coco, nakasuporta ako. Like ‘yung mga documents na kailangan basahin, tutulungan ko siya. Ako ‘yung mag-a-ayos ng schedules. Technically, parang assistant niya ako — lahat ng kailangan niya, lahat ng pwedeng makagaan sa kanya, ginagawa ko na,” she said.
“So sabi niya, bakit hindi pa natin gawing partnership ito, eh ganun na rin naman? So ito, nag-start na nga kami,” she added.
When asked which role she finds more challenging — acting or producing — Julia said working opposite Coco still makes her more nervous.
“Magkaiba eh, pero feeling ko mas mahihirapan ako sa artista kasi ka-eksena ko siya. Mas nahihiya ako. Parang mas madali na ako mag-report na lang kaysa ka-eksena ko siya,” she admitted with a laugh.
Coco and Julia publicly confirmed their relationship in 2023 after years of speculation. The actor revealed that they had already been together for 12 years, maintaining their privacy despite working in the same industry.
“Napakasarap ng pakiramdam namin dahil 12 years na kaming magkasama, pero pareho pa rin tulad ng dati,” Coco said at the time. “Mas masarap ‘yung pakiramdam na pribado ang buhay namin — tahimik, walang issue. Ito, masaya kami.”
Julia and Coco first teamed up in the 2012 teleserye ‘Walang Hanggan’, which became one of ABS-CBN’s most iconic love stories — and now, more than a decade later, their real-life partnership is finally turning their “dream story” into reality.
