Norwegian singer Per Sorensen, the unmistakable voice behind Fra Lippo Lippi’s timeless hits, is set to make a much-awaited concert comeback in the Philippines on October 24, 2025, at The Theatre at Solaire.
Known for his emotive vocals and enduring connection with Filipino fans, Sorensen promises an evening of nostalgia, elegance, and musical magic.

“It means the world to me, it really does,” Sorensen shared about returning to the Philippines. “I love performing, and I love meeting my Filipino fans. They sing along and they’re so happy… it’s really about communication and having a party. I just really love it.”
This year’s concert brings a special twist—Sorensen will be performing with the original Norwegian band behind Fra Lippo Lippi, a rare treat for longtime fans.
“This time, I’m bringing my own band—the Norwegian band,” he revealed. “It’s much easier, and they really know the material really well.”
While Sorensen has collaborated with local musicians in the past, he clarified that this concert will feature a full Norwegian ensemble.
“There’s nothing wrong with [local musicians]… it’s just the circumstances,” he explained. “Now, I have my Norwegian band. I think you should look forward to that.”
As for performing in Tagalog, Sorensen remains open but cautious.
“If someone plays me a nice song, maybe I’d like it,” he said with a smile. “I’m not sure if my Tagalog would be enough.”
The concert will feature beloved classics like “Beauty and Madness,” “Light and Shade,” and “Everytime I See You,” songs that have become anthems for generations of Filipino fans.
“Of course, I do the hits,” Sorensen said. “If you’re going to see some artists—let’s say the Rolling Stones—you don’t want them to sing songs you’ve never heard of.”
Having toured extensively across the Philippines—from Davao to Baguio—Sorensen expressed his desire to explore even more cities.
“Maybe I will go to Boracay and have a play on the beach. Wouldn’t that be great?!”
Despite decades in the industry, Sorensen’s passion for performing remains undiminished.

“I love it! Otherwise, I would not have been doing it,” he said. “It’s my life, really, to perform. It’s a connection between my Norwegian band, myself, and the audience.”
He has also embraced the digital age, marveling at how streaming platforms have introduced his music to younger listeners.
“These days, I can go to Spotify for Artists and see the geography—where in the world they play us, what demographics are listening—‘oh, so young people are listening to us!’ What is that all about?!”
With no current plans to collaborate with Filipino artists, Sorensen remains focused on delivering a heartfelt performance that celebrates the legacy of Fra Lippo Lippi.
“We write what we like, and we like what comes to us in the moment,” he said.
For fans old and new, October 24 at Solaire promises to be a night to remember.
