Speculation that DJ and social media personality Jellie Aw and her former fiancé Jam Ignacio have reconciled resurfaced after a recent Instagram Story posted by Ignacio appeared to show Aw with a message expressing gratitude and affection.

In an Instagram Story posted early Monday, Ignacio shared a photo of Aw inside what appeared to be a train, accompanied by the message: “Shout out sa tao hindi ako iniwan. Alam mo yan kung gaano kita ka mahal. Mahal na mahal kita”, followed by three smiling emojis. Aw is currently in Japan, based on her recent Instagram Stories.
The post has prompted renewed questions online about whether the two have reconciled following the highly publicized abuse allegations earlier this year.
Back in April, social media personality Xian Gaza claimed that the two had already gotten back together.
“BREAKING NEWS: Ex ni Karla Estrada at DJ na binugbog nito, nagkabalikan na!” Gaza wrote in a Facebook post on April 24.
He added in the comments section, “Rematch! Rematch! Rematch sa Japan! Syempre hindi aamin yan at sobrang nakakahiya.”
Aw later reshared Gaza’s post on her own Facebook account and appeared to deny the claim, writing, “Ay tlga ba? wala na ba ma content?”
Despite this, netizens have continued to express concern, with many urging Aw not to return to her former partner, citing fears that the alleged abuse could happen again.
The controversy first erupted on February 12, when Aw posted photos on Facebook showing bruises and injuries she said were inflicted by Ignacio.
“HAPPY VALENTINES? taena mo Jam Ignacio mapapatay moko wala akong ginawang masama para ganituhin moko halos mamatay ako sa ginawa mo! papalukong kita!” she wrote in her caption.
In a February 14 interview with ABS-CBN News, Aw detailed the alleged reason behind the assault, saying Ignacio was extremely jealous.
“Sobrang seloso po kasi. Kahit maliit na bagay, talagang pinapalaki niya. Kahit po sa work ko, ‘pag may kumakaway sa akin, nagagalit siya,” she said.
She added that while forgiveness may be easy for some, the trauma remained.
“Madali lang naman magpatawad, e. Pero ‘yong ginawa niya sa akin, hindi ko makakalimutan ‘yon. Iba ‘yong trauma, e. Ang hirap matulog. Lagi kong naaalala ‘yong ginawa niya sa akin,” Aw said.
Ignacio later spoke to GMA Integrated News, expressing remorse and saying he still hoped their planned wedding would push through. He claimed he was not hiding from authorities and was simply waiting for the right time to speak, adding that he regretted his actions and had apologized to Aw.
In March, Aw shared screenshots of direct messages from Ignacio, showing him pleading for a chance to talk and asking for forgiveness.
Separately, Ignacio reportedly went to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on February 21, 2025, a day after failing to appear on a scheduled date related to the physical abuse complaint filed by Aw. According to GMA News, Ignacio met with NBI Director Jaime Santiago, and authorities indicated that a complaint would be filed in court, where Ignacio could submit his counter-affidavit.
As of this writing, neither Aw nor Ignacio has issued a formal statement confirming or denying reports that they have reconciled. LionhearTV remains open to statements from both parties for clarification.
