The streets of Tomas Morato came alive as HLA Philippines hosted its Dance Fitness Community Event in collaboration with the Quezon City Local Government, Task Force Disiplina, and Vida Philippines, welcoming residents, senior citizens, city officers, and fitness enthusiasts to a morning of movement and play.
Leading the routines were Zin Izzy Trazona-Aragon and members of the P-pop group 1st.One, who brought infectious energy to the road closed for the QC Car-Free Carefree Sunday initiative.

From the first steps, the avenue transformed into a vibrant space where music, laughter, and motion intertwined. Participants swayed to the high-energy choreography, while Filipino games such as Piko, Chinese Garter, Sock Race, and Running filled the gaps between routines with joyful competition. The morning pulse carried an air of celebration, making every movement feel communal and every cheer a shared connection.
The combination of fitness and street festival atmosphere made the experience approachable yet exhilarating. HLA Dance Fitness emphasized that exercise can be integrated into daily life, showing that wellness does not require a gym or formal setting—just space, music, and a willingness to move. The presence of 1st.One members and Aragon energized younger fans and casual participants alike, proving that community engagement and health can thrive together.

The event underscored the city’s commitment to promoting wellness through initiatives like Car-Free Carefree Sunday, turning busy streets into pedestrian-friendly arenas for recreation and activity. The morning exemplified how local governments, lifestyle brands, and citizens can collaborate to make health and movement a visible and celebrated part of everyday life.

The streets remained alive with excitement, laughter, and a renewed sense of possibility. Fitness, play, and community blended seamlessly, leaving the avenue buzzing with energy long after the music faded. (with reports from Aldrine Benitez)
